Starting in about two months this site is going to get very active. I’m moving cross country at the end of August. Once that is complete and we get settled, hopefully at the end of September, I plan on getting back into the swing of things.
I’ve been meandering with how I wanted to approach this site and how I wanted to do miniatures in general. The quarantine for Nurgle’s plague really threw my life for a curve ball. In the opening months of this I was furloughed from my job and that took the wind out of my sails. I wasn’t sure what to do. I was so used to being busy. Eventually, I organized and I seized the opportunity to start getting productive with my personal projects.
I usually find myself stuck between writing, that’s my primary interest, and everything else I take an interest in: miniature building, reading, retro video games, whatever. This usually leaves me paralyzed in fear and ultimately doing nothing but mindlessly watching Youtube or some other nonsense until I had to work. The biggest thing on my mind was a massive pile of unfinished writing projects over the last decade I never had a chance to finish out due to various other responsibilities. You can read about that journey over on my writing website.
With progress happening in my writing I wanted to make some progress in my most coveted miniature building project, the Lamenters. This is something I’ve really struggled to get going over the last few years. If you went to my other site you saw that I’m taking all the content from this project on the Lamenters themselves and turning it into a real, full blown codex which is about 50% completed as of today. Once that is done I’ll reorganize the information here and it will all be uniform. After the codex is complete we’ll begin the day to day operations of posting miniatures and I’ll start work on the first campaign book to get the adventures started.
Stay tuned there is lots to come.
